Warming up and Cooling Down
Prepare your body to work hard - regularly!
In a normal day stretch five or six different times it makes you more flexible and you are able to train harder day in and day out without getting hurt. Warming up gets your muscle ready to work and it helps prevent injuries. Warming down on the other hand helps you maintain flexibility and keeps you from getting sore for your next workout
Start early and easy
Warm ups should consists of about ten minutes of jogging, do several different drills to get warm up your upper body and arms. These drills change depending on the type of workout.
Stretch it out, then pump it up
Once your muscles have warmed up, do about 5 minutes of stretching, making sure that you get all of your major muscle groups and all of your joints loosened up so there is nothing tight on your body. Hold each stretch for about 15 seconds to get the full stretch out of your muscles. When your are stretching finish your warm up with two or three sprints just to get the fast twitch fibers motivated and ready for the work out.
Cool down - loosen the lactate
When you are done your workout go for a nice and easy run for a good 5 minute to make sure that you loosen up all of the lactate that was built up.
