NLL Going Outdoors
The NLL has confirmed that they are indeed pursuing a push to take the NLL outdoor in the summer of 2007, commish Jim Jennings confirmed during a press conference in Denver on Thursday afternoon. The current NLL will remain a winter pro boxla league, but at the same time the NLL is eagerly perusing the development of this new pro field league that will take affect during the summer of 2007. The league would put a stranglehold on the pro scene as well as allow many of today's NLLers the opportunity to play pro ball on a full-time basis.

The National Lacrosse League has released the 2006 regular season schedule. Professional indoor lacrosse's twentieth season will begin on December 30, 2005 with the Colorado Mammoth hosting the Philadelphia Wings. Gary Gait will make his debut as Head Coach behind the Mammoth bench after completing a 15-year Hall of Fame playing career.

Amateur Lax Skills Competition at the SkyDome!
Once again lax fans, the Amateur Lax Skills Competition will be hosted at the Canadian Aboriginal Festival, Saturday November 26th at the Toronto SkyDome. Minor Field Lacrosse Youth Program This is an invitation to further
develop your lacrosse skills and to have a lot of fun learning to play
field lacrosse.
Time /
Location: Saturday mornings at Westcliffe Field, Bell's Corners,
starting August 13 and runs to October 29 from 10:a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Format:
Development of personal skills, team concepts and a league game /
scrimmage. There will be a common practice with players participating
in drills via six stations. This is followed by instruction / practice
on team offences and defenses. Players then break off into teams to
play scrimmage games.
Interlocking
Games / Tournaments: are optional as there are additional fees for each
tournament. We anticipate holding two competitions with the Kingston
Youth Field Lacrosse program. There are plans to play in the St.
Andrews' Youth Field Lacrosse Tournament Sunday October 2. For the
second year we will enter the Turkey Shoot Tournament at Ithica, N.Y.
first weekend in November.

Ottawa!!! The Nepean tournament is on and you can also take in the
exciting action of Junior 'A' Lacrosse playoff games, cheering on your
own Ottawa Titans. All home games are played at the
Earl Armstrong Arena (dates/times shown in bold).

Arthur Poon from ActionPhotos came out to our Exhibition game in Spencerville against Gananoque on May 28 2005. He watched the PeeWee and Bantam games and took some great game shots. He's put them up on their web site and are accessible at PeeWee, Bantam. The photos on the web are highly compressed due to the space on the server.
Parents can order by emailing actionphotos@primus.ca, and include the photo number (eg. _T7B#####), the size they want and number of prints.
He is offering to come out to shot some of our tournaments or just games. There is a $25 travel charge. This can be paid for by the team or a parent if they'd like multiple pictures of their child.

Members of the KDLA executive attempted to paint the floor at the new North Grenville Municipal Centre, (rename of the North Grenville Community Complex) with little luck. The concrete floors have yet to cure fully, so the paint is not staying on the floor. Although it doesn't look perfect, the lines fulfill their purpose.

The Ottawa Titans Junior A Lacrosse team is having a Kemptville Lacrosse Association Day, May 29 2005, at their 2pm home game against Bramption. Be prepared to stay from 7pm to 9pm. PeeWee team 1 and 2 will remain in the arena from 8 to 9pm, but Pee Wee is back Thursday April 28 at 6pm.

"The Gloucester Griffins Junior Lacrosse Club would
like to extend an invitation to all
KDLA first and second year lacrosse players who may be interested in
participating in
the Gloucester Griffins Junior Lacrosse Club 2005 skills camp.
In order for the players to participate, they must be registered for
the 2005 season within
the KDLA organization. I have attached a copy of our
brochure and
registration form, however all the information (brochure and
registration form) can be obtained off of our website at
www.gloucestergriffins.com
As an added incentive, we will issue a rebate to your organization of
10% (or $5.00 per registered
player) provided we receive in advance, a minimum of 10 player's
registrations for this event. Also, all players who
participate will be given (on top of lunch and a t-shirt) a free adult
passes (a $12.00 value, players under 16 always get in free) to any one
of our Junior 2005 home games.

August 2004
The Kemptville Peewee Lacrosse opened the 2004 competitive season with tournament Gold @ the Cornwall annual Veterans' Memorial Lacrosse Tournament. After opening the tournament with a 4-3 loss to Brockville, the team responded with two convincing wins, 7-2 over Gloucester and 9-1over Kanawaki, earning them a birth versus Brockville in the finals. The final game saw Kemptville dominate until the closing minutes of the game, carrying a 4-0 lead until late in the third, when Brockville attempted to mount a come back. The Peewee team battled hard and were rewarded with a 6-4 victory, giving them a well deserved tournament gold. Tony Dillon was awarded with tournament MVP, Congratulations to all Players !!!
