The KDLA competes in the Ontario Lacrosse Associations Zone 5 which includes teams from Brockville, Kingston, Cornwall, Nepean, Gloucester,
and, Akwesasne.
For the 2009 season, the KDLA will be running our Competitive program starting early April 2009. We will start the season with 3 try-out and conditioning nights, with the season starting the week of April 23, with weekly practices. The OLA Zone 5 scheduler, will be planning approximately 10 games for us, prior to July 1, as per the requirements for entering the Provincials. The teams will also be participating in several more games, and three tournaments in Cornwall, Gloucester and Nepean. The last week in July, the OLA Zone 5 scheduler, will be organizing a play-down zone championship games. The teams will then head off to the Provincial tournaments for their level, in August.
There is also the opportunity to play several tournaments outside of our zone, in Peterborough or West Durham.
We want players of every skill range to have an opportunity
to play in our competitive program. each year many new first year players play
for the Rideau rage, so don't be afraid to try out, everyone has a chance.
All teams are operated on a cost recovery basis to cover exact expenses for each
team.
